這是一種以創作實踐、研究發展與視覺思考為核心的 studio 研修形式，適合正在修讀 IB Visual Arts 並希望更有系統地發展作品的人。內容可因應不同階段的需要作出調整，包括 visual research、作品發展、process 整理、媒介探索，以及整體呈現方式的梳理，讓創作不只停留於完成要求，而能逐步形成更完整的作品面貌與較清晰的個人取向。

研修過程重視主題整理、研究深化、作品之間的連結，以及由實驗到完成作品之間的發展脈絡。除了實作上的推進，亦會關注審美判斷、視覺語言與個人表達的建立，讓作品在整體上更有連貫性、深度與完成度。

適合人士

IB Visual Arts Practice & Development

This studio-based format centres on art-making, research development, and visual thinking, and is intended for students studying IB Visual Arts who wish to develop their work in a more structured and sustained way. Sessions may be shaped according to different stages of development, including visual research, artwork development, process organisation, exploration of media, and overall presentation, allowing the work to move beyond requirement alone towards a more complete and clearly defined artistic direction.

The studio process places emphasis on the clarification of themes, the deepening of research, the relationship between works, and the progression from experimentation to more resolved outcomes. Alongside practical development, attention is also given to aesthetic judgement, visual language, and personal expression, so that the work gains greater coherence, depth, and resolution as a whole.

Suitable for

Students currently studying IB Visual Arts, especially those who wish to build greater clarity in their coursework, process portfolio, comparative study, or exhibition presentation. It is also suitable for students who already have some creative foundation but want to develop more mature methods in research, artwork development, visual language, and overall organisation. Fine Art Portfolio Practice & Development

This studio-based format is centred on the development of a Fine Art portfolio and is intended for those preparing applications to university programmes in art, fine art, and related creative disciplines. For some architecture applicants whose portfolios also require strong visual thinking, research, and portfolio structure, this format can likewise provide meaningful support; however, the main emphasis remains on the development of the artwork itself, the shaping of personal visual language, and the formation of a coherent portfolio rather than the accumulation of work purely for application purposes.

The process is concerned not only with making finished work, but also with the relationship between research, observation, theme building, process, sketchbooks, and presentation. In this way, the portfolio becomes more than an application tool and instead offers a fuller reflection of personal sensibility, methods, thinking, and potential. According to individual needs and development, the studio visits help participants clarify themes, media, research materials, and visual language, gradually building a clearer body of work and portfolio structure.

Suitable for

Students applying to Fine Art, Visual Arts, Studio Art, or other related creative programmes, especially those who wish to build a stronger and more mature portfolio rather than simply assemble enough pieces for submission. This studio-based format brings together visual analysis, creative practice, and the organisation of work, and is intended for students who wish to develop clearer methods and more consistent performance in DSE Visual Arts. The content may be adjusted according to individual needs, including artwork viewing, image analysis, composition, painting techniques, thematic development, and image resolution, making both understanding and making more structured while gradually strengthening artistic and analytical ability.

The studio process places emphasis on observation, image organisation, visual expression, and the development of personal handling, so that the work moves beyond simply responding to assessment requirements and grows into a more considered and mature practice within the existing framework. Alongside practical development, attention is also given to visual judgement, artistic language, and overall presentation, allowing analysis and making to connect in a more natural and effective way.

Students studying DSE Visual Arts who wish to build stronger and more consistent ability in both practical work and visual analysis.
